Our tour will take us to some of the most well-known wineries of the region, the pioneers that put the region on the map, and the lessor known boutique wineries that are excited to welcome Birch Road Members to their vineyards.

Optional hotel rooms will be reserved at Farmhouse Motel.
Chefs on Fire Festival
Cascais, Portugal
Sept 18, 2026 - Sept 20, 2026
Chefs on Fire is one of Portugal’s most exciting culinary festivals—a celebration of live-fire cooking where acclaimed chefs trade traditional kitchens for blazing pits, open flames, and smoke-filled creativity. It’s considered one of the greatest culinary events in Europe and quickly gaining in popularity each year.
We will travel to Cascais, a sun-soaked seaside town just outside Lisbon. Picture golden beaches, dramatic cliffs, pastel-colored villas, and winding old-town streets lined with cafés and wine bars. Cascais’ relaxed, elegant vibe makes it the perfect home base—close to the Atlantic, full of character, and buzzing with culture and nightlife.
At the festival, you can expect a full-sensory experience: the smell of wood smoke drifting through the air, sizzling meats and veggies fire-roasted to perfection, live music, local Portuguese wines and craft cocktails, and chefs working just steps away from the crowd. Think communal tables, big flavors, and a laid-back, festival-meets-gourmet atmosphere.

At this time you can pre-register for the trip.
